Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026

Octran Technologies ("Company", "we", "our", or "us") operates a website (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website.

1. Company Information

  • Company Name: Octran Technologies
  • Location: New Town, Kolkata 700165
  • State: West Bengal
  • Country: India

2. Information We Collect

a. Personal Information

We may collect personally identifiable information such as:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Any information you voluntarily submit through contact forms or inquiries

Users cannot create accounts on our website.

b. Essential preference data

We store one first-party preference cookie, octran_consent, only after you make a choice in the cookie notice. Its value records the current policy version and whether you selected necessary only or feedback insights. It does not contain a name, email address, identifier, timestamp, or profile. The cookie expires after 180 days.

We also store the display-language code you select—en, ru, de, or zh—in local browser storage under octran_language. This preference stays in your browser and is not sent to Octran or an analytics provider.

c. Optional feedback insights

We do not load website analytics or performance telemetry until you choose Enable feedback insights. If the optional service is enabled for the deployment and you opt in, we use Vercel Web Analytics to receive anonymized, aggregated signals that help us improve usability and accessibility, such as:

  • A minimized page path with query strings removed
  • Page-view and interaction outcome counts
  • Coarsened performance measures, including web-vital values, long tasks, and slow interactions
  • Anonymous browser, device, and approximate location aggregates supplied by the analytics provider

We do not send form values, email addresses, names, full URLs, query parameters, advertising identifiers, cross-site identifiers, or session replay data through these feedback insights. Vercel Web Analytics does not use analytics cookies and does not persist a visitor identifier across websites.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Respond to inquiries or communications
  • Improve website functionality and content
  • Monitor and analyze usage trends
  • Ensure security and prevent misuse

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use only the octran_consent cookie described above. It is necessary to remember your data-preference choice and prevent the notice from repeatedly appearing. The separate octran_language browser-storage value remembers your selected display language and never leaves your device. We do not use advertising, marketing, cross-site tracking, or accessibility-preference cookies.

If you choose feedback insights and the optional service is enabled for the deployment, the signals are sent without setting an additional analytics cookie. If it is not enabled, your choice is stored but no optional analytics or telemetry is sent. You can change your choice at any time with Manage cookie preferences on this page, or delete the cookie in your browser settings. Choosing necessary only disables optional feedback analytics and telemetry on future page views.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Data may be shared only:

  • With service providers assisting in website analytics or hosting
  • When required by law or legal process
  • To protect the rights and safety of Octran Technologies

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

7. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our website is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
